February 21, 2012 / Nashville, TN - Burgeoning rock act Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown have signed with Dallas-based indie label, Carved Records. The impressive quartet is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their first full-length album, which is set for a 2012 release.
"The minute we heard Tyler, we were blown away by his immense talent” says Carved CEO Tim Porter. “Once we witnessed a live performance, adding Tyler to the Carved family was a priority. Not only is Tyler extremely talented, he has surrounded himself with equally as talented band mates. These guys are the real deal and everyone at Carved is very excited to be working with them!"
Bryant has been turning heads since he was 16, when he won the Robert Johnson Foundation’s New Generation Award for his blazing guitar skills. Since then, he’s opened for Jeff Beck’s 2011 tour and the band has shared the stage with a handful of legends including Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Paul Simon, Heart, B.B. King, Pat Benetar and Styx. Additionally, Bryant was featured in the award-winning documentary Rock Prophecies, along with Santana, Slash and Jeff Beck.
"I'm excited to be working with this group of talented individuals at Carved Records” says Bryant. “The Shakedown and I are working on our first full-length album and I can't wait to share it with everyone."
